Yuri Rozanov was born in 1942 in Volga region of Russia. At the time the region suffered great hardship. Yuri was one of eleven children, of which only three survived to adulthood.

He lived and received his art education in Odessa in the Black Sea region.
At the same time he worked as

a seaman and published his poetry and drawings in the wellknown "Seaman" newspaper.

Yuri held his first exhibition in 1978. He has represented more then 150 exhibitions of paintings with
Artist's Union  in St. Petersburg and Moscow.
